Principal's Message
Dear Bronco Families!
It is with great excitement that I join this incredible community as the new principal of Don Juan Avila Middle School. After being an administrator in Saddleback Unified School District, and most recently in Irvine Unified School District, I am now honored to serve DJAMS and the Aliso Viejo community.
My vision is to ensure that every student receives the best education possible, with a focus on academic, social, and emotional development. At DJAMS, we are committed to providing a school experience where students are safe, known, challenged, and celebrated every step of the way.
Our teachers and staff are exceptional. Teachers work collaboratively in Professional Learning Communities to design lessons and assessments that are engaging, rigorous, and relevant to students’ lives. Just as important, teachers focus on building relationships and creating a culture of belonging at DJAMS.
I also strongly believe that schools are at their best when schools and families work together. The partnership between families, DJAMS, and the broader community is what makes big things possible for kids. Your involvement, encouragement, and collaboration are essential to our success, and I invite you to stay connected and engaged with us throughout the year. Together, we will continue to build on the strong foundation at DJAMS and help our Broncos charge forward to new heights.
It is a privilege to be part of your child’s journey through middle school. I look forward to getting to know you, learning from you, and working side by side to make this an outstanding school year filled with growth, discovery, and success for every Bronco.
Ride with Pride!
