Principal's Message
Welcome to Don Juan Avila Middle School….Home of the Broncos!
It is a pleasure and honor to serve as Principal at Don Juan Avila Middle School. I look forward to continuing our work as we transition to a new school year with all members of the school community to carry on the DJAMS tradition of academic excellence. I value the importance of offering every student a school that provides a strong academic environment as well as social and emotional support. I will work with our outstanding staff to continue this effort.
The world in which we now live is new and different for our students, their families and, of course, our staff. However, the one constant in the midst of all this is our unwavering commitment to educate and support our students. The DJAMS staff has earned a well-deserved reputation for its “student-first” approach to education and DJAMS was recognized for this achievement as a California Schools to Watch for being a model Middle School.
I assure you that our teachers are working tirelessly to find engaging ways to teach and connect with your children. We are committed to meeting each child’s individual needs and will continue to challenge them utilizing structured, collaborative and innovative practices.
The Bronco teachers and staff are committed to work together to provide the support to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our students. We will continue this work together to ENGAGE, EDUCATE and EMPOWER your child.
