Principal's Message
Dear Bronco Families,
Welcome to another exciting year at Don Juan Avila Middle School!
At DJAMS, we take great pride in being known for academic excellence, outstanding programs, dedicated educators, and a culture where every student is valued and supported. Our Broncos consistently rise to high expectations, and we are proud of the many accomplishments our students achieve both inside and outside the classroom.
Our vision is to provide every student with a world-class educational experience that fosters academic achievement, character development, and social-emotional growth. We are committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, connected, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
What makes DJAMS special is our exceptional teachers and staff. Our teachers collaborate through Professional Learning Communities to design engaging, rigorous, and relevant learning experiences that prepare students for success in high school and beyond. In addition, teachers are deeply committed to building meaningful relationships and creating a positive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging. Our dedicated office staff, counselors, support personnel, campus supervisors, and custodial team also play an essential role in making DJAMS a welcoming and supportive place for students and families. Whether assisting parents, supporting student needs, or ensuring a safe and positive campus environment, they serve our community each day with professionalism, care, and a committment to excellence.
The strength of our school comes from the partnership between students, families, staff, and the broader Aliso Viejo community. Your support, involvement, and collaboration are invaluable, and together we will continue to build upon the tradition of excellence that makes DJAMS a remarkable place to learn and grow.
It is an honor and privilege to serve as your principal and to be part of your child’s middle school journey. I look forward to another incredible year of learning, achievement, and celebration.
Ride with Pride, Broncos!
