Mission Statement: At Don Juan Avila Middle School, we are dedicated to fostering connections by engaging, educating, and empowering ALL students. In alignment with the principles of the American School Counselor Association, we commit to promoting the academic, career, and social-emotional development of every student, ensuring they become independent learners, responsible citizens, and positive contributors to our diverse community. Through a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program, we advocate for equity, access, and success for every student, preparing them for lifelong learning and achievement.
Vision Statement: DJAMS school counselors, in collaboration with our parents, community, and other stakeholders, envision a future where all students are equipped with the academic, career, and social-emotional skills necessary to thrive as independent learners, responsible citizens, and compassionate leaders. We are committed to providing a comprehensive and equitable educational experience that fosters resilience, lifelong learning, and a strong sense of community, preparing every student to contribute meaningfully to a diverse and dynamic world.
